RUN FREE, RUN HAPPY!

Run Free, Run Happy is a mindful movement run workshop with Coach Raissa Teano and Coach Miguel Aldeguer that aims to inspire everyone to run their path to a better and healthier self.

We want to engage with runners and spread the practice of mindfulness in running. Building a community with the help of RUNNR, this workshop aims to educate runners on different ways on how they can apply mindfulness in their lives.

Proceeds of the registration will be donated to Mental Health PH, a non-stock, private organization that was founded in 2016. They’ve been investing into increasing awareness about people’s struggles with mental ill-health, empowering members to support themselves and others, and collaborating with various sectors towards sustainable solutions.

Session 1

Subject: Presence over pace
Goal: Educate runners about mindfulness and how movement can help in our everyday lives.

Subject: Gears to help achieve runfulness
Goal: Educating runners with knowledge on gear and habit formation as they run their path to a better self.

Goal: Help athletes on how they can achieve their own version of runfulness and empower more individuals to do the same.

Coach Raissa

Coach Raissa Teano is a coach, runner, dog-lover and mental health advocate.

As a student-athlete in college, and a former med student, the level of stress she experienced all these years challenged her to study more about mindfulness and the value of building an endurance mind-set. Qualities that she teaches her students today to support their health and fitness journey.

Her goal is to be able to share this to more individuals engaging in sports and create a community where athletes are practicing mindfulness to harness the mind and tap into their strengths.

Coach Miguel

Coach Miguel Aldeguer is a run coach, triathlete, and oatmeal connoisseur.

When Coach Miguel isn’t running, he’s occupied about what kind of ingredients he’s putting in his overnight oats. During the pandemic, Coach Miguel found a deeper appreciation and connection to the run after having a fatal COVID-19 experience. This is where he stumbled upon the importance of mindfulness in running, or as we would like to call it “runfulness”. He also holds open-run workouts for the local community and helps runners to run their path to a better self.

In this workshop, Coach Miguel will share his tips and tricks on how to achieve your own level of runfulness. And maybe, one or two of his favorite overnight oats recipes.
