NINJA BIG BOX 2022

The POSF NINJA and UNAA Workout event is the first qualifier event of the POSF National Ninja Team

This event is composed of judged competitions based on performance and time. The series allows athletes of all abilities to compete, and the top athletes in the sport are provided a chance to join the national team.

Race Schedule:  

  • 7am: Start of elimination round
  • 3pm: Start of championship round

 Categories:

  • Male and Female Elite Able-Bodied
  • Male and Female Able-Bodied Age-Groups (based on birthyear): 16-19 yo, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & above
  •  Male and Female Para-Athletes: P1, P2-P4, P5
  • Unisex Kids: 6yo & below, 7-10, 11-15 

Qualifier:

1st Qualifier event for Ninja National Team (2 Events = 2 Point Systems; For each event, Champion = 5 points, 2nd placer = 6 points and onwards)

Course Practice:

January 12 to 19  (full Ninja 100m and some sections of Ninja Big Box)

Participants:

Maximum of 150

(subject to approval and clearances of related government agencies) 

COMPETITION RULES AND COURSE OVERVIEW

Ninja Big Box

  1. Single run in Elimination and Championship round
  2. Individual time trial
  3. No head-to-head matches
  4. Championship Round Ranking (1st to 5th place) shall be based on 1 run.
  5. Top 5 male and female per category will advance to the Championship round. If there are not more than 5 athletes per category/ age-group, there will be no Championship Round. The Elimination Round shall be the final round.
  6.  Designated waves based on health protocols
  7. 15 to 20 obstacles
  8. Combination of 1-point and 2-point obstacles
  9. Score and rank based on number of obstacles completed (1st) and time of completion (2nd)
  10. Time limit per run: 7 minutes (subject to change without prior notice)
  11. Number of fails/ falls per run: 3 maximum (beyond 3 for the run, DNF)

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

PRE EVENT 

All involved in the event must:

  • Always have minimal PPE- facemask, personal sanitizer; own food & drink.
  • In accordance with IATF directives, the use of mask in all public places are required.
  • Declare feeling unwell & presence of symptoms to Race Officials.
  • Avoid unnecessary physical contact.
  • Not share equipment.
  • Conduct frequent hand sanitation or washing.
  • Throughout the 14-day period before, during, and after the event, it is mandatory for all persons involved to perform regular health self-checks such as temperature detection and monitoring of symptoms and report to race offici.

Pre-Event Entry Requirements:

  • Participant must present their fully-vaccinated cards.

Note: Producing fake Vaccine card is considered “a crime punishable under Republic Act 11332 or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act which provides for penalties of P20,000 but not more than P50,000 or imprisonment of not less than one month but not more than six months, or both fine and imprisonment, at the discretion of the court.”

  • Download Pasig App and register. All involved in the race must present their Pasig Pass QR Code.

EVENT DAY

Here are the Event Safety Protocols on Event Day:

Onsite Registration and Health Screening

  • All involved in the race must register must have a Pasig Pass
  • Health screening and onsite registration will start at 4am (TBC). Participant should bring a print-out Health Declaration Form (download here) and a duly-signed Pledge of Adherence to all safety protocols and rules.
  • All concerned need to pass through the Triage Tent for thermal scan. 37.5 temperature and lower is considered passed. Temperature to be written by the medical team on the signed Health Declaration Form of the participant and the companion.
  • If participant’s temperature is higher than 37.5, he will be asked to stay in the isolation tent. After 15 mins. his temperature will be taken again, if it registers 37.5 and lower he will be accepted. If his temperature is still higher than 37.5, he will be referred to a quarantine facility.
  • After passing the Health Screening test, participant proceeds to the registration area for personal info verification, submission of hardcopies of RT PCR test result: signed health declaration form with temperature, signed waiver, signed pledge a copy of government valid ID.
  • Participant then picks-up his race kit and number.
  • He/she should then proceed to the next table to have marked number
  • Consistent Self-Monitoring
  • Safety Marshals will be deployed in Arcovia to monitor all involved in the event if practicing proper safety protocol. If a participant is caught not practicing the safety protocol, he/she will be disqualified from the event.
  • Athletes are advised to wear masks during any non-competition activity (e.g. registration, race kit pick up, waiting area for each heat..
  • The organizers are only responsible for providing masks to its volunteers and staff. All other accredited clients must bring their own equipment.
  • The local authorities and/or POSF may impose the mandatory use of masks in specific events.
  • All spaces will be organized in a manner where physical distancing is respected.

Post-Event

All participants will be asked to leave the race venue right after their heat.

All involved in the event should undergo a self monitoring post-race for 14 days. If anyone experiences common symptoms like fever, dry cough, tiredness, aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhea, headache, loss of taste or smell, they should inform the organizers accordingly so POSF can conduct contact tracing accordingly.

We shall use Pasig Pass as a tool to monitor all concerned.

At the end of this event, the local organizers will keep records of all involved for future reference should the need for contact tracing arise.

1. Registration is only confirmed after payment. Paid fees are non-refundable, non-transferable & non-creditable to future POSF races.

3. Participants should use an accessible email where confirmation and event updates and announcements will be sent, if any. Updates may be posted and updated in this page and in POSF and RaceYaya social media accounts. It is the participants responsibility to be informed of any updates.

An email acknowledging receipt of payment is automatically sent. Please check your SPAM or PROMOS folder in your email account. A registration confirmation email will be sent to racers within 24H after validation.

Yes you can. However, we would only allow you to join when you are fully vaccinated.  Please complete your innoculation before the event.
